Jesse Cook

Over the course of a dozen years and numerous best-selling albums, virtuoso flamenco guitarist Jesse Cook has explored the limits of popular music, breaking new ground with each successive recording. In the past, Cook has blended African percussion, Cajun accordion, classical cello, and pop vocals with his own rumba flamenco style to create a thrilling, multi-textured global hybrid. He has sold more than one million albums worldwide and won a Juno Award in 2000 for his CD Free Fall. Last year, his sixth release Frontiers (EMI) debuted at No. 1 on the World Music charts. Jesse's tours, from concert halls to major festivals, are sold-out affairs and have become renowned for their energy and uncompromising musicality. In addition to headlining shows on both sides of the Atlantic, the guitarist has performed with British soprano Charlotte Church and toured with legendary Irish band the Chieftains.
