Why did I get into radio? No exact reason...it just called to me. I was drawn to music from an early age & loved what came out of the radio/stereo when I was a kid. I was about 9 years old when my dad got me a portable tape recorder and I used it with the stereo in my bedroom to make my own "radio shows". I even bootlegged commercials from radio stations and inserted them in to my show....and would copy the announcing styles of the jocks I liked. Some are lucky to know what they want to do (for a living) at a young age.....and I was just one of those people.

Favorite music? Wow - difficult question to answer - seeing as I'm a music fiend.
My ears listen to a variation of styles and I pretty much own something in every category (except maybe thrash metal and polka). ;-) I have to admit though - at the top of the list for me is "house music". It has the ability to take me to another level & always puts a smile on my face. Some of my favourites: Masters at Work; Miguel Migs; Jay-J; Fred Everything; Rasmus Faber.

As far as other artists I like to spin at home or in the car...they would be: Jill Scott (a true poet), N*E*R*D, Zero 7, Justin Timberlake, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Beck, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Seal, Jay-Z, Tori Amos, Maroon 5, Elliot Smith, Jamie Cullum, Jann Arden, Travis, Jamiroquai, Ben Harper, Bob Marley, The Police, & Radiohead. I also adore the "Oldies": Earth Wind & Fire, Al Green, The Beatles, Donovan, Cat Stevens, Aretha, Etta James, Otis Redding, Oscar Peterson, Chet baker, Miles Davis...and pretty much anything you can groove to. Fun

Favorite concert? Again - difficult question, as I've been fortunate to see so many. I tend to enjoy smaller, more intimate shows rather than huge stadium performances. At the top of my list:
Beck, Jamie Cullum, Christina Aguilera, Seal, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Al Green and Electric Six.

Favorite TV show? My TV seems to be on the Food Network most of the time. I also watch Coronation Street, Amazing Race, Arrested Development (so sad it's gone), The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, What Not to Wear (love Stacey & Clinton, they crack me up), Lovespring International is hilarious...and whatever catches my fancy.

Favorite movie? Magnolia, My Left Foot, Vanilla Sky, The Color Purple, Alfie, The Commitments, Private Parts, Kingpin, In the Name of the Father, The Professional. I better stop - 'cause the list goes on & on & on.....

Favorite spot in Vancouver/The spot I like to hang out in...Anywhere my friends are.

Little known fact about me? I'm blind in my right eye.

If I wasn't in radio, I would be...A chef (because I love to cook & even more so, I love to eat) or a TV host.

Dream interview? Why? Jamie Oliver (chef). He's fun, talented & he could teach me a thing or two. Pharrell Williams (producer). Love his brain & would get a kick out of pickin' it. Or, Donny Deutsch (talk show host on CNBC). A bright man who built a multi-billion dollar advertising and media business. I like his interviewing style & range of topics & would enjoying hearing what he has to say.

You're most likely to see me....Laughing (and being loud).

Most prized possessions? First and foremost - my family. After that, I have to admit I don't own very many materialistic items...but I do have some fantastic artwork I love.

Guilty pleasure? Eating peanut butter. I love it.
