The CISL Breakfast Show

Gerry O'Day

About the show

Gerry O'Day is in the driver's seat with you weekday mornings from 5 am to 10 am, playing four great decades of Superhits. Gerry celebrates 15 years at CISL May 23rd. He has worked almost every shift on the station over the years now into his 6th year in mornings. Previously, Gerry was at the now defunct Classic Rock AM 600 CHRX. He had a long tenure at 99.3. THE FOX through most of the 1980's. He also worked the Canadian Prairies in Moose Jaw, Regina and Saskatoon. Gerry can still be heard every Sunday on our sister station EZROCK 104.9 in Edmonton hosting the Sunday Morning Oldies Show from 8 to Noon. Gerry started his radio career at CKOK AM800 in Penticton in the summer of 1977. Today that station is owned by Astral Media which also operates 650 CISL. He loves to bike, swim and power walk and lives in South Vancouver where he grew up - sort of...we think.

The rest of The CISL Breakfast Show includes Erin Davis, who delivers the latest news and weather, all the latest traffic is covered by Kuljeet Kaila Each hour the CISL Breakfast Show features nearly a dozen hit songs plus chats with interesting guests both locally and across the country.

Latest blog quote

This alternative way to listen to CISL has always been around for awhile, but lots of our listeners just don't know about it. If you have Shaw Cable TV in the lower mainland, you can hear us on Cable FM at 91.3. You need to hitch your stereo up to cable to do this if it isn't already hooked up, and check first before you do the following steps:

Buy a few feet of regular TV cable - measure the distance from the cable outlet to the stereo. Usually five feet will do. You may need two of these cables.

You will also need to buy an ISOLATION 3 WAY SPLITTER. This is quite common at electronic stores like The Source. Then split the cable between the TV and the Stereo.
